Our Executive Director

Jacqueline Bedard

Jacqueline has recently returned to writing, following a post-secondary career in communications, marketing, international education, fundraising, government and external relations, most recently at YukonU. After taking a creative writing course at Yukon University, she was reminded that writers need community. She benefitted immensely from the encouragement and thoughtful feedback of others, and is looking forward to helping grow that community in the Yukon, as she continues to develop her own writing.

Jacqueline has been a volunteer board member at Raven [Recycling] ReCentre for 17 years, where she’s currently the president. She’s also one of the founding members of 100 Women Who Care - Whitehorse, with six years of funding community projects.

She lives in Whitehorse with her partner and their two dogs, enjoying fishing, hunting, hiking/snowshoeing and spending time at their off-grid cabin in Atlin.
