Writing Place: An Exploration

With Kate Harris

Is place a backdrop in writing? A protagonist in itself? A setting for action and agency, or a source of them? In this workshop, through close readings and exercises, we’ll explore how paying attention to the physical and imaginative dimensions of place can bring any genre of writing more alive.
